Privacy Policy

Zeta Studios LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Pania mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our App.

By using Pania, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in using Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from those services (such as your name and email address).

Conversation and Journal Content. Pania is a journaling and reflection companion. When you use the App, we collect the text of your conversations, journal entries, reflections, and any responses generated by the AI. This content may include personal, emotional, or spiritual subject matter.

Usage Data. We automatically collect information about how you interact with the App, including session duration, features used, conversation frequency, and general engagement patterns.

Device Information. We collect device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and IP address for security and troubleshooting purposes.

Push Notification Tokens. If you enable push notifications, we collect your device token to deliver reminders and other communications you have opted into.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the service: Your conversation content is processed to generate personalized wisdom, reflections, and journaling responses.
• AI processing: Your conversations are sent to our AI provider (see Section 3) to generate responses. This is essential to how Pania works.
• To improve the App: We use aggregated, anonymized usage data to understand how the App is used and to improve features.
• Communications: To send you push notifications (if enabled), account-related emails, and service updates.
• Security: To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.

3. AI Processing and Third-Party Services

Anthropic (Claude API). Your conversation content is processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate AI responses. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, your data is not used to train AI models and is retained in API logs for no more than 30 days before automatic deletion. Anthropic does not share your data with third parties. For more information, see Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

Supabase. We use Supabase for authentication and data storage. Your account information and conversation history are stored on Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant. For more information, see Supabase's Privacy Policy.

Apple and Google. If you sign in via Apple or Google OAuth, those services process your authentication data according to their own privacy policies. If you purchase a subscription through the App Store or Google Play, those transactions are handled entirely by Apple or Google.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share your data only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: With the third-party providers described in Section 3, solely to operate the App.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Zeta Studios LLC, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your data would remain subject to this Privacy Policy.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your conversation or journal content with any party other than our AI processing provider as described above.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the App. When you delete your account:

• Your account information, conversation history, and journal entries are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.
• Anthropic's API logs containing your conversation data are automatically purged within 30 days of processing.
• Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytics purposes.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.
• Portability: Request an export of your data in a portable format.
• Opt-out: Opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings.

8. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as defined by the CCPA.

9. European Privacy Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process your data under the following legal bases: contract performance (to provide the service), legitimate interest (to improve and secure the App), and consent (for push notifications and optional features). You have the right to withdraw consent at any time, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Children's Privacy

Pania is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@pania.world.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
