These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pania mobile application (the "App") operated by Zeta Studios LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Pania. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that we believe are held by users under the minimum age.
To use Pania, you may need to create an account using your email address, Google, or Apple sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Pania is an AI-powered daily companion that facilitates journaling, reflection, and the exploration of wisdom from diverse spiritual and philosophical traditions. The App uses artificial intelligence to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and surface relevant passages from traditions including Stoicism, Buddhism, Christianity, Sufism, Taoism, and Judaism.
Pania is not a therapist, counselor, medical professional, or religious authority. The App does not provide medical, psychological, therapeutic, or professional advice of any kind. AI-generated responses are for informational, educational, and reflective purposes only.
Do not rely on Pania as a substitute for professional mental health care, crisis intervention, or medical treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or call your local emergency services immediately.
While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, misattributions, or incomplete representations of spiritual and philosophical traditions. The wisdom presented reflects selections and interpretations and should not be taken as authoritative religious or philosophical guidance.
Free and paid tiers. Pania may offer both free and paid subscription plans. Details of what is included in each plan are described in the App.
Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
App Store purchases. If you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, your purchase is subject to that platform's terms and payment policies. To cancel, you must do so through your device's subscription management settings. We cannot process cancellations or refunds for purchases made through app stores.
Refunds. Refund eligibility depends on your purchase channel and applicable law. For subscriptions purchased directly from us, you may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. For app store purchases, refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google.
Price changes. We may change subscription prices from time to time. We will notify you of any price changes before your next billing cycle. Continued use after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
You own your content. You retain all rights to the conversations, journal entries, and reflections you create in Pania. We do not claim ownership of your content.
License to operate. By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and transmit your content solely to provide and improve the service — including sending it to our AI provider for response generation. This license terminates when you delete your account.
Feedback. If you provide suggestions or feedback about the App, we may use it without obligation to you.
The App, including its design, text, graphics, logos, icons, AI-generated responses, curated wisdom passages, and software, is the property of Zeta Studios LLC and is protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the App or its content, except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZETA STUDIOS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zeta Studios LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
Informal resolution. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@pania.world and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Binding arbitration. If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, you and Zeta Studios LLC agree to resolve any claims through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place in the county where you reside or another mutually agreed location.
Class action waiver. You and Zeta Studios LLC agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis only. Neither party may participate in a class action, class arbitration, or other representative proceeding.
Small claims exception. Either party may bring qualifying claims in small claims court.
Opt-out. You may opt out of the arbitration and class action waiver provisions by sending written notice to legal@pania.world within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting updated Terms in the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using the App.
